Such a wonderful way of reframing how we can think about the chaos and devastation we have to live with now in this world that remains so beautiful. Thank you! ππΊ
My therapist helped me arrive at the both/and epiphany about seven years ago. Itβs revolutionary and liberating and never quits serving up gifts! Glad you got to it too! π₯°
Have to be on insta and facebook for work, for now.
And then I'm torn between, "I just can't do this any more, get me out of here" and "But is abandoning the places we've built community etc what THEY want?"
Well, I don't have to deal with that question until I finish at work, so there's time to make that decision.
Thank you for this post. As another parent of a trans young person I have been struggling too. This reframing is something that I need to remember for the years ahead.

Thank you, Christina and welcome! I'll admit some days I do better than others, but using this as a touchstone helps.

I learned both/ and from Richard Rohr. He remains a hero of mine.

Deep love to us all. I'm here if you need a mom-of-trans ear. We have to stick together.
